April 19, 2007 - “Waiting for You” Charting at #9

2007 started off with a bang for Dennis Lamar, but no news to this point has compared to the fact that “Waiting for You” is now charting at #9 on the FMQB ACQB radio charts! Can you believe it? From my experience, you can place a “good” song into the Top 30 of a radio chart, but to get into the Top 10, the song must be “great.” “Waiting for You” is just that…GREAT!!!

I just can’t stop looking at this week’s charts. To see Dennis’ name right behind John Mayer and Rob Thomas and in front of Snow Patrol and Avril Lavigne is mind boggling.  It’s clearer to me now than ever before that Dennis’ name will soon be associated with the greatest recording artists of all time. This charting news is one very large step in that direction.

I still remember the day Dennis finished recording “Waiting for You.” There was something electric about that day. I think Dennis knew he had just completed a great song, and there was something about it that he really identified with. If you were anywhere near him the next few days, you were guaranteed the opportunity to hear “Waiting for You.” I think there was something brilliant about that song that Dennis really identified with.  He couldn’t stop listening to it…

April 03, 2007 - The Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth, Texas

Wow!  What a weekend.  Dennis Lamar rocked a packed house at The Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth, Texas.  Always full of surprises, Dennis had a few special guests get up on stage and sing with him.  And as I forecasted, Dennis shocked and awed the crowd by singing a song he has never sang live before.  I don’t think anyone expected that song to be “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley though!

I talked to one fan after the show about Dennis’ performance and she said “I love his new C.D., but there is something so electrifying about seeing Dennis in person that you absolutely do not see from most performers.  I hope every person in America has the opportunity soon to see Dennis perform live.” Another fan interjected, “I have been to his two most recent shows in Texas and there is no way I am missing one of his shows if he is playing close by.  You just don’t hear quality music like this very often.”

NEWSFLASH:  All you Texans have another opportunity to see Dennis perform.  Dennis will be performing an acoustic, hour long set, at The Opening Bell in Dallas @ 9:00p.m. on Thursday, April 12.  The performance is FREE, so make sure you show up early.  Check Dennis’ MySpace page or http://www.DennisLamar.com for more details.

If you live in driving distance to Dallas, hop on highway 45, 20, 30, 75, 35…whatever it takes, and GO to Dennis’ show at The Opening Bell in Dallas.  Dennis will not be in Texas for much longer, so take the opportunity to see Dennis while
    you still can!

March 28, 2007 - The Aardvark in Fort Worth, Texas

This past Wednesday, Dennis was back near his hometown doing a bit of a reunion performance, playing a set at The Aardvark in Forth Worth. Many of Dennis’ friends and family were able to come out and finally see Dennis perform again in his home state.

As usual, Dennis captivated the audience with his high-energy rock songs and sprinkled in a few mind-boggling ballads. One fan was lucky enough to have Dennis sing “Happy Birthday” to him in Spanish!  I think everyone, myself included, was shocked to learn that Dennis knows Spanish.

Seeing Dennis perform is a MUST this year.  If you didn’t see him at The Aardvark, you still have the opportunity to see him in Texas at The Ridglea, also in Fort Worth.  Click over to the “NEWS” tab to see a list of Dennis’ upcoming performances.
